FAQs

1. Will the Floormat Dual Cup Holder work in my car?

So long as you have safe and easy access to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel the Floormat Dual Cup Holder will work for your car.

Unfortunately, many newer cars have high and/or wide center consoles that make safe access to the passenger side impractical.

2. How do you install the Floormat Dual Cup Holder?

It’s super simple:

  • Lift the passenger side floormat.

  • Place the Floormat Dual Cup Holder on the floor of the passenger side close to the passenger seat with the back of the cup holders against the transmission tunnel.

  • Place the passenger side floormat over the base plate.

See also the Installation Instructions page for a graphic representation.

3. How do I change the size of the cup holders for different size cups, cans, and bottles?

The “wings” of the cup holders can be gently spread apart or pushed together to accommodate multiple sizes of drink vessels from coffee shop cups to large thermal mugs.

4. Do you offer discounts?

Yes. Please visit the Discounts page.

5. What materials are used in the Floormat Dual Cup Holder?

The base plate is sturdy HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene) that is 1/2'“ thick and measures 12” long by 8” wide. All edges rounded.

The cup holders/cages are aluminum. They are seamlessly integrated into the base plate and securely and invisibly affixed with stainless steel screws. No exposed fasteners.

See detailed photos in What Makes it “Perfect”? page.

Small rubber feet on the bottom of the base plate provide the anti-slip quality.

6. How tall is the finished product?

The total height from the bottom of the base plate to the top of the cup holders is approximately 5 1/4”

The exposed height from the surface of a 1/4” thick floor mat to the top of the cup holders is approximately 4 1/2”.

7. How much does the finished product weigh?

The Floormat Dual Cup Holder weighs approximately 2lbs 8.8oz (2.55lbs).

8. Who makes the Floormat Dual Cup Holder?

Each Floormat Dual Cup Holder is made to order for you in my workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

9. Why is no sales tax being charged?

We are not currently required to collect or remit Minnesota sales tax under the Small Seller Exception. When we achieve the annual count or dollar volume that requires us to collect and remit sales tax we will do so.

Driver is responsible for proper installation and safe use and must be able to safely reach over the transmission tunnel.
